The present study aimed to analyze the opportunities and threats resulting from the application of information technology in the religious lifestyle of graduate students at Isfahan University, Iran. The study used a descriptive survey design and was conducted on graduate students studying at Isfahan University. The statistical population of the study included 4,176 individuals. According to Cochran’s sample size formula, a sample population of 305 individuals was selected through stratified random sampling in proportion to the statistical population. The study used a 36-item researcher-made questionnaire rated on a five-point Likert scale and evaluating the opportunities and threats in the lifestyle of students. The results of data analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics showed that the most important ICT opportunities in lifestyle were: “the development of media literacy in order to grow and thrive in all aspects of life” and “creating countless opportunities for religious scholars using facts, links, and resources on religious websites”. Furthermore, the most important ICT threats in lifestyle were “promoting lifestyle patterns based on materialism and consumerism” and “eliminating identity and moral values”. In general, the opportunities resulting from the application of information technology in the religious lifestyle of students were above average and the threats were below average. There was no difference among students in relation to ICT opportunities in lifestyle based on the components of gender and educational level. However, there were significant differences among them in terms of ICT threats in lifestyle based on the component of educational level.
